Molehills into mountains

When things break and life gets busy this is what happens!

molehills into mountains

Small mole(hill)s of laundry get busy and make more laundry. The laundry is worse than rabbits.

Now granted that is a lot of laundry, yes, BUT here is my disclaimer:

Remember there are eight of us and if I do not do three loads of laundry a day then I am behind. In the spring and summer it is mostly a load of whites, a load of colors, and then all the bath towels from the night before and showers that morning (however that gets split). In the winter it is mostly darks and then the bath/shower towels.

The second half of my disclaimer is if you would notice the large amounts of whites and colors there then I would like to point out that most of those are the spring and summer clothes (times eight) that are finally no longer getting worn. While all that needs to be washed about 30 per cent (no, it is not percent unless you are using the word percentage, in which case the two are joined) of it is waiting to be washed and folded and taken to the thrift store as they are finally outgrown by the masses. Another 30 per cent (no, it is not percent unless you are using the word percentage, in which case the two are joined) needs to be washed and folded and put into Rubbermaid boxes for the next child to wear. The rest, thirty per cent (no, it is not percent unless you are using the word percentage, in which case the two are joined), if my math serves me correctly, is what really needs to get done ASAP so we can have clothes to wear now. Oh wait that still leaves me ten per cent (no, it is not percent unless you are using the word percentage, in which case the two are joined). That must belong to the neighbors sneaking in hoping I would not notice.

There are notes on the picture; if you care about that kind of stuff you can clickity the picture to see the notes on flickr.

What’s in your laundry? Let’s be real YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE LAUNDRY!

p.s. NO, you may NOT try to sneak your laundry in my house. I WILL notice.

  3. My Blair Lamb can generate that much laundry all by hisself. (the two are joined) because he waits until he has worn EVERY COTTON PICKING THING HE OWNS before he washes. I was a really good mama last Friday. I had the day off, so I did about 10 loads of his laundry. Which is still sitting on his futon. sigh….
